Did they locate the 2nd F-15 Pilot?

Any injuries he had were probably better than what might have happened had the Iranians found him.

    The Red Bull P-38 Lightning

That was so kool... With complete sarcasm: Oh, no !! He was a civilian ! He couldn't possibly have done that !He was only there to instruct pilots into maximizing fuel range !! Can you even imagine that happening now ? The media would call him a terrorist

    The Red Bull P-38 Lightning

The reason I asked is because my dad had a prop failure and had to bail out of a P-51. I was just wondering if he'd have been lost if he had a prop failure in a twin-engine P-38 instead. I guess he had a pretty long hike, and then I got MY picture on the front page of the LA Times. Only because...

    The Red Bull P-38 Lightning

I can't make up my mind if they sound better than they look or not. I love those huge props. Would a P-38 fly with only one engine running ?

    The SIg Controversy

I wouldn't call it bad. His name indicates that the belt comes out quickly, and at the same time it's obviously fed. Alot of kids nowadays could use parenting like that.

anyone take brass to the scrap yards yet..??

No. THAT was a STUPID question, not naive. My NAIVE question was supposed to be asking about RIM-fire. Everybody I know that reloads reloads center-fire. I don't actually know if anybody I know reloads rim-fire, but I know a couple of guys who definitely don't.

Has the current world climate changed your daily routine?

Just more reason to avoid targets I was avoiding anyway for different reasons.

    F-22 Raptor....

Video just doesn't even come close to describing the aerobatics of an F-22. I've been to at least a dozen air shows. I've seen planes from A-10s to SR-71s, lots of 5th-gen fighters (including the MIG-29). They all appear to obey to Laws of Physics. The F-22 is so outrageous it is capable of...

    Enduro racing

Respect. I've ridden hundreds of thousands of miles on pavement and hundreds of miles in dirt. I've won regional road racing championships on four wheels. Enough to know that I'd never be good enough to race bikes for very long. The lessons are painful.

    Chuck Norris

The thing is, with all respect, Chuck Norris will live on in our minds. It's a tribute to an honourable man that he can command that much respect after he has died. Condolences to all. May he live in peace.

    Truck tires

45 psi in a car tire ? Thanks for the recommendation.... I do understand tire pressures. I did alot of racing in spec tire classes (TP guages with 1/4 increments with durometer post-race tech checks) , but my Michelins were street tires. Bought my first set fifty years ago. I was happy with...

    Truck tires

Hmm. I had 55k on the Goodyear Wranglers we replaced and i only repaced them because we were going to the snow. I bought another set. Tires for the truck cost more than my first brand new car did. The whole car.
