    More magazine capacity

So if you “did” encounter a terrorist “cell”, I’m guessing there would be four members? So eight arms? Once the arms are gone, you have ALL day to place whatever shots you have left…you know the drill… 😂

    Ronin 10mm is TRASH!

That’s why I love the LGS where I usually pick up my ordered guns. They get the box from the back, bring it to the counter with the shipping invoice taped to it, and open it after I get there. Can’t remember a time where the gun wasn’t still tightly wrapped in the plastic bag, if it came with one.

    Ronin 10mm is TRASH!

And especially after breaking it down, cleaning it, reassembling it if you’ve never done those things with a 1911 before. Be careful removing and reinstalling that slide stop/release…it has developed quite a reputation over time!

    Ronin 10mm is TRASH!

Don’t know what to tell you other than if I dumped every gun I own that had a ding, I’d have…zero guns. Regardless of manufacturer. How’s it shoot?

    Ronin 10mm is TRASH!

I’ve had more than a a few pass through my hands in my striker days. Never had an issue, but always seemed to find something to change or add here and there. What they did perfect was making them so easy to clean….A CAVEMAN COULD DO IT! Seriously, usually less than five minutes from...

    Ronin 10mm is TRASH!

I probably shouldn’t jinx myself, but I’ve ordered 3 new SA handguns and 1 SA long gun. I’ve also bought a new XDM .45 long ago from an LGS and a Hellion from a local LGS this year. I have had ZERO issues. The handguns all came in brand new boxes, guns wrapped in plastic. All fed, fired, and...

Ichord Report: What If Congress Had Let the M16 Die?

Yep, and they were a PITA to haul around, getting in and out of vehicles, in and out of weapons racks at various locations, etc. My time with it was 1976 to about 1988, when I moved into jobs that required more handgun carrying than rifle. Not sure there was viable option to replace it during...

Question - SA Operator with Threaded Barrel

The deed is done, courtesy of Tombstone Tactical in Phoenix. If it’s like all the other purchases from there I’ve made, I’d expect an LGS arrival of next Wednesday/Thursday, Now to decide an on optic (for which I have a bit to decide since I’m not ordering an AOS plate until I get the discount...

Question - SA Operator with Threaded Barrel

Almost looks like a Wilson Combat EDC X9 1.0, though not in stainless. It is all metal though. lightweight 7075-T6 aluminum alloy (machined in-house by Wilson Combat as their proprietary X-Frame).

Question - SA Operator with Threaded Barrel

Me too, but that’s more because it weighs 26 oz, 15 oz less than Emmisary or the full size Operator.

Question - SA Operator with Threaded Barrel

Actually, my TRP CC is coyote brown…why I’m leaning toward ODG.

Question - SA Operator with Threaded Barrel

At least you said “one”…there are four colors - Coyote Brown, Tungsten Gray, OD Green, and, of course, Black…

Question - SA Operator with Threaded Barrel

First off, does anyone have experience with one of these (SA Operator w/Threaded Barrel)? Having had a blast shooting my 9mm Shadow 2 Carry and FN Reflex suppressed, I’m thinking I might find shooting a .45 1911 suppressed as well (though I think I’ll have to get another suppressor - darn my...

    ConcealedCarry attire

I wear either Duluth Cargos “Dry on the Fly” or jeans, either or replaced if they get faded or worn. If a small firearm, I’ll wear a loose t-shirt, usually without firearm logos/sayings. I will wear subdued USCCA long and short sleeved T’s, or things like Langdon Tactical Technology where most...

    Customer service (repair)

While I’ve not sent anything to Springfield, I have sent guns to Dan Wesson (when it was really Dan Wesson, not CZ) and Wilson, and DW was about a month, while Wilson was about 3 months, though I did ask for a refinish. So a week doesn’t seem that long. You didn’t mention, I don’t think...

    Range Report - 28 Jul 26 - Kimber K6s and SA TRP CC 4.25 .45”

Made it to the range again today (yay, second time in two weeks - boo, upgrades still not done). Hadn’t had my Kimber out since Feb nor my TRP since Dec, so figured it was time. No pictures of guns or range, lots of them on here already. Kimber was up first with 50 rounds of Speer Gold Dot...

For My Forum Friends - The 2026 Ultimate Carry 1911s: $39,900

Agreed. I don’t have safe queens. ATM my most expensive is a 1911 and though it doesn’t get shot as often as, say, my CZ Shadow 2 Carry and others, it does get hauled out every few months for a quick 50. I did a like for your post above, but couldn’t figure out a way to add an additional 😂...
