Thanks for the info. In retirement the wife and I plan on doing a fair amount of traveling out West in the Fifth Wheel and take advantage of the Parks. Practical and useful information. We won't (intentionally)be on your type trails but like being prepared.

Well my 30-30's arrived today and hopefully will shoot a few in the next couple weeks. I do know that if they fire the odds of tumbling increase :)

Spot on. If you shoot 5 tight groups of 5 rounds of 124grJHP 1" low at 10yrds you are spot on 15-25. From the target to 50yrds not much change.

This is spot on and was hard for me to change. I practiced drawing (unloaded) quite often using many household items as the target trying to find the damn dot. What I found works for me is a more upright fighting stance, slight lean at the waste. For me this puts the right shoulder slightly...
