    Do You Need a Laser?

I'm not a big fan of lasers on handguns, except for indoor range practice. I see, like Peglegjoe and others, some very real value in them for training purposes. I would not ever put one on a carry handgun. On the other hand, they are a vital enhancement to the Shockwave and the RemArms TAC 13...

    Illinois CC Permit Holders

Remember that Monday many handguns can no longer be carried by civilian permit holders legally. SA Hellcat OK but Hellcat Pro No. Guns you can own, with proper registration when required, you may not be able to carry. Check your guns out and be careful out there.

Breaking…Florida Becomes The 26th State To Allow Permitless Carry

But does that apply to non residents like my wife who has her Illinois permit that is not recognized by Florida. Also in a number of states those depending on constitutional carry do not always have the same rights as those with a permit or are LEOSA carriers.

Ruger M77 - The Evolution and Future

I've got two. A .22LR and a .22WRM both in an All-Weather Zytel Boat Tail Stock. These two guns have replaced all of my other rim fire guns when hunting or camping.

NRA Convention Indianapolis, Indiana April 14-16 (Benefactor Member)

I'll be there, if for no other reason that to attempt to voice my displeasure with WLP and his assorted cronies and to plead (if so allowed) for him to do the right thing and quit. More than likely they will find someway to prevent that as they have done since the last time the meeting was in...

NRA-ILA Leadership Changes & Republicans Are In Trouble

As many of you know, I was a very strong giver to the NRA for over 50 years. It wasn't until my long time friend Ollie became President and started snooping around that I began to take all the rumors about WLP and his cronies seriously which was entirely my fault. I had gone from being extremely...

Which ammo for deer and hogs?

I have killed many, many deer and many hogs with a Ruger .44 Magnum Carbine. I have also killed the smaller hogs with a .22WRM as well. All of this was close range stuff. Long range stuff was accomplished with a .270. If you are set on using a Springfield Armory, I would use a .308 although that...

Apparently taking our guns is only the first step

Take a look at the knife laws in Great Britain. You need a permit to buy kitchen knives and many knives commonly carried in the USA ends up a prison sentence there.
