Discussion: First Look: Echelon Alpha 4.0C

You'll need the mag spacer to use the extended mags to fill the space between the mag base and the bottom of the grip. If that's something that matters to you. I actually have a couple that I don't need anymore, free to you if you want them, for only postage.

    TRP Range Day #2!

I was able to get some more range time in today with the TRP and I wanted to get the Stainless Garrison out for a run since I was having issues with both on my first outing. I also wanted to run a variety of mags to see if any of them had issues. The mags were a selection from Wilson Combat...

I have posted the targets here in pdf format for those that really don't want to sign up to get them. Hopefully they work.

    TRP Range day!

This is a local Oklahoma 2A org. They're free for anyone, I noticed a couple of non working links but saved all of them I could for future use.

Interest in Springfield 1911 single stack with factory COA?

The COA looks good on an Echelon, I'm curious what it looks like on a 1911.

    TRP Range day!

Thank you sir! I usually clean and inspect my new firearms before going to the range, but I didn't the last time for some reason.

    TRP Range day!

Thanks! It was a great range day, I was very pleased on the gun's performance. I'll probably go back Sunday which is my normal range day.

    TRP Range day!

Thank you sir! I'm still getting used to the color. I REALLY like the Osight line of optics. I have started replacing my Holosuns with Osights. They are well worth the price of admission, and I would recommend them to anyone who asks.

    TRP Range day!

Funny story about that... I originally wanted an evil all black one, but all they had was the Coyote Brown. The price was WAY too good to pass up so I went ahead and got it. I didn't like the pbj grips so I ordered black ones from VIZ. Same grips, just in black. Anyway, I went back to the same...

    TRP Range day!

I already had the first range day last week with the TRP and it was less than stellar. I had multiple failure to feeds with a range of ammo. In all fairness, I had just received two 1911s and I really didn't clean and lube them properly. This time, I thoroughly cleaned and lubed the TRP after I...

Discussion: First Look: Echelon Alpha 4.0C

I did too. I removed the COG and sanded a few millimeters off the bottom of the trigger and flattened the inside of the trigger guard to open up the pinch point so it didn't pinch and cause a blister.. This is a VERY common issue well known on the forums.

Discussion: First Look: Echelon Alpha 4.0C

I'm a member on quite a few Echelon Forums on Facebook and Reddit and I see lots of people that share my opinion. Many people end up swapping their triggers to the Tyrant version so that they don't get the blister/pinch and get a better reset. There are a few aftermarket companies addressing the...

Discussion: First Look: Echelon Alpha 4.0C

Ok, I think just about everyone on here knows I'm a HUGE Echelon fanboy. I have been since day one. I've have owned or currently own every model of factory Echelon that has been produced so far. My question on this is "why"? The Echelon is an almost perfect handgun as it is. I guess the new...

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

That's great to hear, it definitely had me worried since I had literally just ordered the 4.25" Stainless Garrison. Mine is in perfect shape and I'm very happy with it so far.

Finally aftermarket Echelon slides are available

The slides that Springfield sells are complete, not stripped. They even come with the optional barrel and recoil spring for a lot less than the aftermarket stuff. But, this will be a great option for folks that love totally custom guns.
