Just curious. I’ll admit I’m a bit of a Springfield Armory fan boy so it won’t take much to convince me I need one. I have a few guns with factory optics cuts like SA 1911 and Glock Gen 5 but the majority of my auto handguns pre date this phenomenon. Is there much interest in this configuration? Thought it a little funny that my LGS has these models for sale for several weeks but the SA website still states ‘ 1911 & 1911 DS MODELS COMING SOON’.

I have the SA 1911 TRP AOS. You select the mounting plate for it that is compatible with your optic. Mine is a Holosun. There is a plate that adapts an Aimpoint Acro, but I don't know if that is the same baseplate for the Aimpoint COA. I would call SA customer service or Aimpoint customer service to confirm the correct baseplate.

ok, looks like i'd need a a-cut (apparently it's the coa) to rmr, but will need to be a handgun specific mount?

nope, that won't work either as it'll need a rear site to hold it. what i was looking for was the pic rail type to rmr mount like for the htx-1 primary arms optic
