I think it is pretty cool that with all the “influencers” (I still think this is derogatory and misused), we are given the freedom to spend our time watching what we want. Instead of overpaid executives and Hollywood folks determining what will be available for us to spend downtime watching, we...

Good morning Hajoc. As far as air rifle shooting, the same techniques apply that a person would use for any another firearm. Hold the sight alignment throughout the trigger squeeze (or”trigger press” to use one of the current buzz phrases).

I saw that article too, ECS686. I agree wholeheartedly with Jeff Gonzales. The only downside is the “higher math” required! :)

In my state (Arkansas), we have had two men killed this year by black bears. In the past, I have been okay with .22 LR, but I am starting to think that is a little under gunned. My preference is a stainless revolver in 357 or 44 magnum.

I think I understand what LRjr is saying. He has several carry guns that he has accumulated over the years as he has refined his EDC, but unlike some folks, he tries to stay proficient with all of them. Personally, I also like the XDE, and think SA should have kept that one in their lineup. I...

HAPPY (and safe) THANKSGIVING everybody!

Somehow, I missed this thread back when Mike first linked it. Thank you Mike. And thank you also, RJW, for resurrecting it. Not that I have a lot to offer. :(. My thinking is that the biggest value we get from “training,” is the ability (or maybe at least improved ability!) to remember...

I use a target “form” I got free from “She Equips Herself.” I just print what I need. Her target.is actually a drill, with slow and fast shooting. Takes one box of fifty rounds. I think it is a good drill too.

Welcome to the fold, Lamps3! The NRA is currently being changed into what most of us would like it to be. I think we almost lost it, but the people we have running things now are getting things back on track.

I need to pay more attention to thread posting dates! :(

Go ahead and join the NRA, Lamps3. We need you! I know personally of more than one organization, that like the NRA, has dropped or altered the distribution schedule of print magazines. And, the NRA does a lot more than political lobbying for the 2A. For example, Eddie Eagle to teach children...

Here, Range USA is $24/hour.

Welcome to the forum, Lone Oak!

Thanks, Talyn. Not the way I do it, but that guy is impressive!

My thinking about the NYC mayoral election is that the “everything free” mantra was used to get him elected and is just a smokescreen. The real goal is the takeover by Muslim followers.

There are always naysayers, but personally I believe the NRA ship is turning away from the days of WLP and cronies. People on the sidelines should get on the NRA’s website and poke around. I believe the anti-NRA forces came close to ruining the NRA but the new leadership is serious about...

I predict the shutdown will end today before the benefit ends. Not to worry (if I am right!!).

My range sessions have slowed down a lot because my wrists started bothering me and I figured out that a lot of shooting was likely causing it (hazard of living 3/4’s of a century, I guess). These days, cycling carry ammo happens once a year or so when I shoot the carry ammo and start over.
