    M1 30cal Reloading

M2 ball has nothing to do with the garand. It's also not lower pressure than commercial ammo. The old hunting ammo will blow up your garand myth is still that. A myth.

Federal is now making 150-grain 30.06 for Garands (and it works)

Uh..the gas port is 1.5" from the muzzle in the garand. Which makes the garand very insensitive to different loadings. The oprod isn't easily bent using off the shelf ammo. It is bent however from lack of proper lubrication. Commercial ammo and milsurp ammo operates at the same pressures so...

    .308 vs. 7.62

No.. Same ammo same max pressure. 308/762 is interchangeable since it's basically the same thing. And no... There is no such thing as mg ammo loaded to higher pressure than what was fired in the garand. There was no "mg ammo" at all.

Discussion: Bought an M1A, Now What?

The garand is by far less ammo sensitive than an M14.

My first Garand - A snipah

Talking about m1Ds here. Argumentative and posting information supporting your facts is two different things especially if someone else posts something that is lacking info or just plain wrong. That's called a discussion. No names are being called or attacking anyone. Just simply posting...

You need to stop editing your posts after they have been replied to... Your pdf file doesn't contradict the CMP "warning". Unless you have a specific sentence that does....I haven't seen it.

    M1A Hunting ammo

The safest thing to do with new garand owner's is to TEACH them the facts .. especially about proper maintenance and lubrication. The oprod is damaged due to lack of lubrication not the commercial/milsurp ammo you shoot. End of story.

My first Garand - A snipah

Chill? I'm extremely chill... Only one manufacturer was making barrels into the late 40s. Springfield armory.
