    Echelon first impressions

It's automatically only worth 75% of New . If you allow an FFL to make any you are speaking about 35-40% less . Anyone would be foolish to let it go for less or expect to get much more . If they are selling for $600.00 New - $375.00 in your pocket would be doing pretty well .

Who all have sent their PRODIGY in to SA ? Results ?

Interesting Thanks . Wish there was a trick to keep the RDS cleaner . But I think that's more 1911;s don't have enough room

Who all have sent their PRODIGY in to SA ? Results ?

Yeah I've thought of that . I can likely mess with and fix all of this myself . I'f I were to send it back . It would primarily be because the safety is tight . I really have to push with effort to get the safety on . More often then not it's easier to flip it up with my left hand . This bugs me

Who all have sent their PRODIGY in to SA ? Results ?

The break is long IMO for a 1911 trigger . It's not terrible . There's just more take up then my Bul Armory which can surprise you . The Prodigy feels like what I said Spongy . Like you pull thru the break rather then to it . If That makes sense . Again I have gotten used to it . My wife won't...

Who all have sent their PRODIGY in to SA ? Results ?

Just shooting bone stock . I would say the bump is about 1/2 way . Sorta hard to tell because I'm not watching the slide / I have held it out in front down where I can watch the slide . You can't pinpoint exactly where . I would say it's right after the opening . Plus it's minor . i can feel it...

Who all have sent their PRODIGY in to SA ? Results ?

I'm asking because I ran in to someone last week . Who told me he had no issues with his Prodigy . But sent it back anyway . He said they treated him to new parts , polished ramp , Trigger adjustment etc . He said he told them he just wanted it inspected . Nothing was wrong . But now it runs...

Springfield Prodigy Torture Test: Did It Survive 10K Rounds?

Why should any 1911 need a tone of oil ? Makes no sense :

Springfield Prodigy Torture Test: Did It Survive 10K Rounds?

This gun is going to revolutionize the 2011 market . Plus it's a Gun , not an Eco-auto with computers and such . If the thing fell completely apart . You could replace all the eternals for under $400. People seem to be afraid of this gun because of the Internet Hype . Or that 1911 parts aren't...

    Alec Baldwin charged...!!

That's like saying don't teach your girls what boys are really wanting because all you have is girls in the home . Alec Balwin had a gun in his hands likely dozens of times . He has brothers as well as himself that all were in action movies . He knew how to handle a gun. It's bull to claim he...

    Alec Baldwin charged...!!

Agreed : I also heard the Armorer was given a reduced 6 month probation. In consideration of his testimony for teh prosecution ??? If anyone was negligent I would think it would be that guy .

    I'm not a 1911 guy......but..........

I used to be an engineer in my first life lol Wouldn't an all metal double stacked gun weigh in the neighborhood of 4 lbs ? At least 3.5 lbs

Good reviewer , just to vulgar to listen to all the time . It gets old .

The Prodigy looks ugly from pictures I see

Do you know how to take them apart ? You have to pay attention . All you have to do is put a little bend on your sear spring . the left and the middle . Atlas Gunworks has a great video . You really can't ruin it > Just get a pull weight gauge for $20 .

First Look: Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy 9mm

Yet he bought the Bul Armory he reviewed for his personal carry ? I'll have to watch that video again. I don't recall him saying the prodigy was the smoothest . Didn't he say it was the easiest to shoot and would be the best for new shooters? He warned that Bul's shouldn't be bought unless you...

First Look: Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy 9mm

I have spoken back and forth with David a few times . Not about the Prodigy though . My Dealer sold 3 in a week . That's impressive since I live in a Town where you have to watch out for Horses and Cows as much if not more then deer . Bul Armory is selling everything at MSRP. Rainer has the...

First Look: Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy 9mm

I guess : It's not random . My guess is most people don't know the Bigger Dealers like Nagal and Xtreme have Staccato's with Optic packages . Plus will deal on the actual guns themselves . Because they are Master Dealers I find teh Prodigy in my area consistently for $1300.00 Nobody carries...
