    Handgun Break-In, Is It Needed?

For what it worth... In My Humble Opinion I have been listening to people including my father talk about what pistol I should buy and why. Weapons such as the Kahr CM40. I own and after 7 years of ownership 2 broken mag followers, the gun still can not make a consistent group. The Taurus...

True enough. Think of it as patina, a battle scar.

What is the best Home Defense Weapon?

I like the pistol for the speed and ease of use. 9mm has virtually no recoil, you can load it with just about anything, and typically over penetration is not an issue. I like the shotgun with O buckshot for the knockdown power and the proven effectiveness of the shotgun in close quarters...

EDC~~~~~ How much do you care about it?

Modern coatings are strong enough that I am about certain that they can withstand being test fired, and analyzed by forensics teams, they not going to do any crush tests or dry fire, or sandblasting etc.

    Versatile?

I am horribly left handed. I work in Corrections and have to qualify every year. I got tired of asking for left handed gear and changing my duty belt around completely, so I taught myself to shoot from both shoulders and out of either hand using a modified Weaver stance, behind cover or...

    New gun decision

Springfield XD series is always a great start. I found an XD Mod 2 Subcompact 9mm with the Instant Gear Up Package for $510 at a local dealer. I should have that in hand by the first week of Feb. To me, the only better would be the Hellcat, but I have large hands and want a larger grip radius...

    New gun decision

What are you using the weapon for? What caliber are you selecting? What grip angle do you prefer? How experienced of a shooter you are? How you will be carrying the weapon. Do you have a brand preference? Reliability and budget a big for me personally.

    Red or Green?

I would have to say that both rdd and green will don't wreck your night vision. I do like Crimson Trace and the red and the Old Faithful standard, but I would have to say that simply by virtue of the color that is used in these sights is greater suited for fast target aquisition.
