14 Great Pocket Pistols for Personal Defense

My main problem with a semi-auto as a "pocket pistol" is lint and fuzz getting in the action. Lots of moving parts that may be affected. Carrying a semi-auto, I would rather have it on my belt somewhere, either inside the waistband or outside (usually inside). Probably can get lint and fuzz anyway, but to me anyway it seems less likely.

A great pistol needs a history of reliable function with commonly available ammunition to qualify in my book.

I wouldn't call the Beretta Pico (never heard of it), Bond Arms Bullpup (bullets that aren't crimped enough, can be torn apart inside the gun?), Heizer Defense PKO-45 (too new to have a record of use), and Taurus Curve (never heard of it) as having enough track record to get remotely close to being "great", IMO.

There are several other compact pistols that would qualify.

Be careful where you point that thing, you’ll put someone’s eye out!
