1911 TRP AOS CC holster

I purchased a Springfield 1911 TRP AOS CC about 6 weeks ago and the only holsters I could find for it has been kydex. Kydex is okay but I'd prefer a nice leather holster without having to wait 6-12 months. None of the ready to ship holster makers (Galco, DeSantis, Falco, Palmetto Leather, etc) seem to make a 1911, 4.25, with rail holster. I prefer a straight drop like the Avenger holster. Anyone know of a company that may make one?

check HBE, Privateer, Ronin, TT Gunleather for all leather in stock and ready to ship. Generic and off the shelf holsters and kydex is not for me either. You might get lucky finding a good quality holster on ebay with "1911 leather holster". Vintage Don Hume, Bianchi are regularly offered there.

I got mine at TTgunleather. He had “Springfield Operator AOS 4.25” in his gun list and it fits perfectly. He does ask that you tell him what type optic when you order, in the remarks section.

Here is front and back of TRP holstered, along with holsters he’s made for my C24 (left) and HD 3.6 (right). Pretty reasonable leads too…I think last one I got in about 5 weeks.

Tucker and Byrd, the quality is superb

Also the Springfield Armory store has some quality holsters on their web site

Thanks for that. Never heard of them, but good looking stuff.

If my Bride needs new shoes for an outfit, I think I can apply the same reasoning to getting a new holster, right?

I’ll say this, as a devout Milt Sparks fan, I have never been disappointed at having to wait for a new 55BN.

I used to order his criterions way back when wait was 16 weeks, had a few. Think I still have one for a 3” 1911. The current 40 weeks wait is a bridge too far, for me. I think the only way I’d do that is if I ordered a custom gun that was going to take longer.

The criterion were certainly well made and reasonably priced, but I’ve since used others just as well made and reasonably priced. If you can wait the 40 weeks, I’d certainly not discourage anyone.
