2025 Best CCW

Although my last few acquisitions have been small revolvers in various calibers for carry, one can never go wrong with one of these…easy to carry, easy to shoot, 711 rounds downrange with zero issues (with and without compensator).

Whatever you shoot the best.
A few side notes.
1 Don’t get caught up in brands!!!! Find something that had a good record of dependability and solid customer service like S&W Glock Springfield etc etc even some sleeper ones like Stoger are solid

2 Don’t get caught up in or dismiss a firearm because if magazine capacity. Shot placement and penetration solve problems more so than mag capacity. You will hear a lot of multiple attacker scenarios as a justification however any video short of a sanctioned cartel hit ones one takes a round they scatter like rats and if they are 5 motivated assassins you will run out of time. John Wick nobody is!

Try both revokver and semi we have a great amount of choices these day compared to the mid 1980’s when I started a Military and LE career!

Good luck

Well best leaves plenty of room for interpretation
I agree. There are so many variations of the Tried and True 1911. It can be difficult for a person who has Zero experience with the pistol.
I was lucky enough to have joined the Army when the M1911A1 was our primary sidearm. Matter of fact, unless you were a female MP ( who carried 38 Special revolvers) or Special Operations Forces who had available to them a variety of handguns, the M1911A1 was King of the Hill.
I cried when they took them away☹️

When I joined the USAF we were the opposite. The S&Aw model 15 38 was the standard issued sidearm. AFOSI had some custom cut down 1911’s but I never saw them in the wild. We started to transition to the Beretta in 1989 (my base anyway) several of us complained so our commander allowed us to keep the model 15 as that was still what we trained the B52 pilots on.

We had about a 50/50 mix I deployed in support of Desert Storm (we flew B52’s out of Fairford England) and we deployed with our model 15’s as secondary

Base closed and when I got to my follow on in 1991 I had no choice but the M9. I did learn to shoot it and it was a great gun as well once I put in the time. Can’t complain but that first time we were like just give us our Wheelguns LOL

Welcome to the Forum from No'east Florida. Best concealed carry? Well, people carry anything from a Desert Eagle .50 AE to a .38 special revolver. It comes down to what you shoot the best and can carry comfortably, as well as being confident that you can depend on it when the time comes to use it. Hopefully you never will have to use it. As long as it is a quality, accurate, dependable firearm it should be good. Friends don't let friends carry Hi-Points.

Thank you for the welcome. And to be honest, that was the goal. I was hoping to get true, honest opinions from people who carried the gun they’re recommending. 100% agree it boils down to the persons comfortability, but i like guns and am always looking for another to add to the list haha
Ok. More info please. Are you a big guy ? Slim ? Are you already comfortable carrying striker guns with no safety ? Big hands or average or small hands ? Have you carried IWB ? AIWB ?
