I have a older superblackhawk don’t shoot it much but would not sell it has a nice punch to it

I too had a .44mag super Blackhawk, I traded it for a .44mag super Redhawk. I liked both but I really love the super Redhawk.

1971/72 i had a Dirty Harry model 29/ holster- exact gun he carried in DH( if you dont know Clint didnt get the real gun till the last scene in the movie- he used a .41 magnum for almost the whole movie

Nice, I used a custom 4.5 inch 44 Redhawk for probably 30 years as my main hunting firearm. Took everything from bear to deer and various other critters with it. Loved that handgun, too bad we gotta get old...

I had a Super Blackhawk with a 10” barrel. I stupidly sold it. I already had a Taurus model .44 with a 8.38” barrel. It’s been flawless for thirty years and taken many deer. And you can shoot it one handed all day long. The Ruger kicked like a dancing mule. Wish I still had it though.

Nothing wrong with the .41mag but yes I had heard that.

.44 is a long time favorite-shot them for 40 years now. These days is mostly a warm “Special” load in a magnum case. Very mild recoil and fun to shoot but still hit with authority -200 grains @ 1000 fps will hit with a thump. About 15 years ago my son (career jarhead) had a Vaquero 4 5/8”. He wanted some “hot” loads. Came home with a box of 300 grain hard casts. Told him I thought it was a bad idea, for fooling around, but hey, he’s a Marine. Anyway he loaded them up near “max”. He fired two cylinders full and that was about all the “fun” he wanted. I think he’s still got at least half a box of them.
