6 guns that NEVER jam?

The Sp101s with short barrels are not nice to try and keep a hold of. The 357 mags stand right up Or fly out of your hand, like my Bud's does. He shoots 38 specials loads thru it.

Never shot a p226, but do own a P220 in the Lord's caliber, not meant for meows.

Flies out of your hand????? Um, ok . Shot an SP101 for years, so did my wife and other friends, ran thousands of full magnums, its actually a heavy lil tank for its size. The 2 25 inch Sp101 weighs in about 26 ounces which is actually 3 ounces more than the 3 in Model 60 I traded the SP101 for, which is still my favorite handgun, and rests every night in my bedside table.

Never hand the SP101 come even close to flying out of the hand even today with my arthritis. The rubber grip of the SP101 is not the smallest grip there is on a small revolver so perhaps someone with a very small hand might have trouble.

Yeah.

I’ve run nuclear .357’s (Underwood 158gr Gold Dots, iirc)out of a 340PD—that’s an 11oz, scandium J-frame with a titanium cylinder. Weighs less than half that a porky SP101 does.

A pleasant experience it was not…nor one I would repeat by choice.

But it stayed in my hand.

S&W 340 PD .357 is one of my two EDCs. The other is my VP9SK. The first time I took the PD 340 to the range, I ran 100 rounds of .357 through it. And then another box of 100 .38 special. Never again! Now when I go to the range with it, I shoot 1 box of 20 whatever defense load I'm currently using through it. Then 50 rounds of .38 special target loads. That's it. Too much of shooting it makes the trip no fun. All my other trips to the range with any other firearm involve 250-300 rounds of whatever I'm shooting. And I've never had my 340 PD fly out of my aching hand.

Sounds like when I took Kimber K6s and shot 70 .357 Magnum rounds after I’d fired 100 .38 Sp +P rounds through an Ruger LCR .38 Spl +P. About 40 of those Magnums in, I put on shooting gloves so I could finish. Next day, my shooting hand thumb base joint was so sore I could barely move my thumb. Skipped next week’s usual range trip, then the following week took that same .38 Spl+P LCR and a SW432 to the range. Fired six with right (strong hand), and using two hand grip, and immediately re-aggravated thumb joint. Finished other 94 rounds with left (weak) hand only - and I was long overdue to work weak hand only 😃. My thumb joint stayed sore for about another month and I’ve since recovered - though I have ZERO desire to put anymore .357 Magnums through the Kimber, although I still have 100 rounds of .357 Magnum JHPs (of which six are in it when I carry it). I’m pretty sure I significantly bruised the bones (or worse) of that thumb joint* - but a small price to pay should a self defense scenario require deadly force.

Oh, and like you, never once came close to losing control of said Kimber K6s, even when firing .357 Magnum round #70.

* - I am a man, of COURSE I did not ask a medical professional to look at my shooting hand thumb 😃 !

I’ll run a cylinder or two of my carry loads—125gr Magnum Golden Sabres—out of my 640 Pro a couple times a year, but they aren’t nearly as crazy as those Underwoods…in fact, when I tried some Underwood 125gr out of the Pro, I ended up with stuck cases that wouldn’t eject.

That stays in my hand, too.

Exactly, I have shot hundreds of rounds in Airweights not pleasant but not uncontrollable. Worst was the 329PD with the wood grip, that thing made my hand numb and I decided that I no longer needed a lightweight. 44.
