The Sp101s with short barrels are not nice to try and keep a hold of. The 357 mags stand right up Or fly out of your hand, like my Bud's does. He shoots 38 specials loads thru it.
Never shot a p226, but do own a P220 in the Lord's caliber, not meant for meows.
Flies out of your hand????? Um, ok . Shot an SP101 for years, so did my wife and other friends, ran thousands of full magnums, its actually a heavy lil tank for its size. The 2 25 inch Sp101 weighs in about 26 ounces which is actually 3 ounces more than the 3 in Model 60 I traded the SP101 for, which is still my favorite handgun, and rests every night in my bedside table.
Never hand the SP101 come even close to flying out of the hand even today with my arthritis. The rubber grip of the SP101 is not the smallest grip there is on a small revolver so perhaps someone with a very small hand might have trouble.
