Almost had to draw my gun "4 legged variety"

Im sure there a some pit bulls that are just generally friendly dogs but my experience is that they seem to "print" on their family and tend to be protective of them. The issue is that they can be "too" aggressive and when aggressive are more dangerous than other breeds.

No doubt other breeds can be dangerous too; but they dont have the reputation for the violent maulings like pit bulls.

Having worked in the Baltimore area Im perhaps jadded by the drug/gang culture that surrounded themselves with pit bulls. Im sure some/most of that was for the "image"; but whenever I encountered someone with a pit bull wearing the drug/gang "uniform", I always included the dog as a potential target

Maybe if I'm just running up to the store or wally world but the reality strikes and I realize it's not even safe to do that anymore.
I used to think it was a hassle for whatever reason I could come up with but now if I'm restricted by work it's the only time I'm not armed on my body the vehicle is a different story.

This is a really long story I'm going to make it as short as I can. I was taught from the time I first got my concealed handgun permit the you should make a decision to either always carry or never carry.

After I retired I didn't always leave my home everyday so some days I didn't carry I always had a gun close but not on my person.

Now that we live out in the wide open spaces I make a specific point of getting dressed in street clothes everyday and going outside.

I also made a specific decision that when I put on my pants I put on my gun. The only exception is if I'm going into the city for a VA medical appointment where I can't have a gun on me.

When I put on my pants in the morning I put on my gun and it actually feels kind of weird when I don't put on my gun
