I was in my local gun shop Friday. He told me if you need ammo get it before April. 10 to 14% price increase coming. So far reloading components aren't going up.

well, i have already been seeing a rise in new factory ammo pricings.

Of course it is! Any excuse to raise prices. Next firearm prices will rise. Guess I will be done purchasing firearms. Refuse to play the game. At certain point you just have to put your foot down

my last purchase of the blue label G-19, was to just replace the Hellcat, which i dumped.

ain't been really considering anymore myself.

Fear drives a lot of this. But yes, might as well spend some time this weekend making my list of critical needed.

Just when it was beginning to feel the supply shortages post CV19 were gone, we get this.

Small primer 45 cases.
I am finding out Federal uses them and much of the other manufacturers still use the large primer cases.

Does the industry seem to be moving towards small primer pockets or is an issue in standardization.

Asides the immense pain in the seating section, any Reloading Lords care to comment on which way the industry is going to move or is just a one off with Federal.

Only ones I have seen were Federal. Don't know the story behind them, TBH

Federal, Lawman, use SPP's...

i very often do buy new 45 ACP ammo, and many times, due to pricing, I do buy Federal.....just not Lawman, only cuz I just don't.

when i shoot the federal, i sweep it up, and place it in a bag to take home, then i quickly throw them into the recycling bucket, for a trip to the salvage yard when it is full.

all other LPP 45 ACP, gets swept up, into yet another bag, to be cleaned when i get home for when i reload.

a couple of reloaders i do know, reload all brass, i personally just don't wanna muck around changing the primer bar on my Dillon.

which way is the industry going..??

i dunno, all i do know is i am old and won't be reloading much longer, imma gonna take the sawzall to my Dillon, and be done with it.

I reload way less than I used to. Time means more to me, and I’d rather spend that time shooting than pulling the handle on my Rock Chuckers.

I buy bulk for 223, 9/40. I’ll load for the revolvers and the 45, and the other rifles.

With some of these newfangled super high pressure cases, I’d guess away from things that can be recycled or reloaded.

We have a gun show this weekend to celebrate America’s 250. Ought to be entertaining.

I’ll make a trip in the morning, see what they have going on.
I always look for reloading gear, spare pistol magazines and some ammo I can’t otherwise get locally.

I might have to look through my “stash” to see what I have and what I need.
