well, i have already been seeing a rise in new factory ammo pricings.I was in my local gun shop Friday. He told me if you need ammo get it before April. 10 to 14% price increase coming. So far reloading components aren't going up.

my last purchase of the blue label G-19, was to just replace the Hellcat, which i dumped.Of course it is! Any excuse to raise prices. Next firearm prices will rise. Guess I will be done purchasing firearms. Refuse to play the game. At certain point you just have to put your foot down
Only ones I have seen were Federal. Don't know the story behind them, TBHAny other known makers using the small pockets?
Federal, Lawman, use SPP's...Small primer 45 cases.
I am finding out Federal uses them and much of the other manufacturers still use the large primer cases.
Does the industry seem to be moving towards small primer pockets or is an issue in standardization.
Asides the immense pain in the seating section, any Reloading Lords care to comment on which way the industry is going to move or is just a one off with Federal.![]()
a couple of reloaders i do know, reload all brass, i personally just don't wanna muck around changing the primer bar on my Dillon.
which way is the industry going..??
I ordered 150 pounds of lead I use for casting 10mm, 44 magnum and 45/70. I had to go pick them up from my local post office they wouldn’t deliver them. 2 boxes at 75 pounds each I really don’t blame them I took my son and made him care them lol.well...surprise...surprise...
my 45 ACP, copper coated, 230 gr. bullets from Everglades, just arrived..
a whopping 33 pounds..and i hope the FedEx driver is still breathing.
arrived during the first estimated delivery date/time too...
got it all dumped into a 2 pound coffee can, under my bench
i really wish to not deal with lead anymore...i used to buy my reloaded ammo from a mom/pop gun and bait store...it was actually priced very good.I ordered 150 pounds of lead I use for casting 10mm, 44 magnum and 45/70. Have never been tested and I’ve handled tens of thousands of lead projectiles. I have an out building I do all reloading and casting in with plenty of ventilation. You’re going to die of something so it might as well be something you enjoy.i really wish to not deal with lead anymore...i used to buy my reloaded ammo from a mom/pop gun and bait store...it was actually priced very good.
however, i was handling the lead of course, to load up my magazines. well, after a while, under advice from another shooter, i had my blood levels checked.
way back then...it was at 34 points.
also, i use to clean all my guns...bare handed...
no more of lead handling..no more cleaning without latex gloves.
my last lead level test, showed it is down to a total 4 points.........
so the lead is out of me.
i only buy coated bullets now, and wear latex gloves
it took "about" 3 years for the lead to get out...
i wish to keep it out.
i should point out too...that i never casted my own bullets..i wanted to.......but i really do not have the space for it, and after that first blood test...i was glad i never did.
you would be surprised if you ever did get a lead blood level test done..I ordered 150 pounds of lead I use for casting 10mm, 44 magnum and 45/70.
