Ford recalls more than 615,000 vehicles over wiper, driveshaft defects
Ford recalls over 615,000 US vehicles for a wiper motor defect affecting Explorer and Escape SUVs and a separate driveshaft issue, regulators said.
Amen to that!I've owned many makes of vehicles over the years. Unless a recall is considered a "do not drive" sort of thing, or life threatening, I don't sweat it. I'll have it taken care of at my convenience. And if it breaks before that, I'll play dumb and say I was never informed of the recall. I just don't trust the monkeys that work at dealerships.
FORD is 5x industry avg for recalls. avg is 20-25. Ford is well over 125 recalls in the last 14 months.recalls.......not much new here that hasn't been done countless times over the decades since Ford introduced the horse buggy.
even my beloved Toyota brand, has had its share of recalls as well.
i cannot think of a brand that has ever been "recall free".
i don't think it surprises me that when the family runs out of heirs to take over, and the stock holders demand thier investments returns, that the board members "elect" tomfoolery to take the helm.FORD is 5x industry avg for recalls. avg is 20-25. thats old....well my 2022 had the recall and they checked part numbers and said all good![]()

That's why prices of low-mile examples of what you describe, are through the roof.Modern cars are too complicated. Small block Ford or Chevy, manual transmission. I have not received any recalls on my Chevy or Ford.
