More mental illness from a formerly great state.

Initiative 28, which proposes expanding the state’s animal cruelty ban to cover a wide range of pursuits, is one step closer to being part of the midterm elections after leaders submitted 120,000 signatures in favor of the move.

People for the Elimination of Animal Cruelty Exemptions Act (PEACE) group are leading the campaign for the measure, which would effectively ban hunting, fishing, and slaughtering livestock.

The initiative would also ban conducting scientific research on animals, using animals in rodeos, operating a commercial poultry business and castrating or neutering livestock in the Pacific Northwest state.

I agree with it in part. The industrialized meat industry is all about vicious cruelty, but to ban deer and hog hunting? That seems absurd to me. Given the rapid nature of how a deer or hog is disposed of by the typical high-powered rifle, I cannot see that hunting is any more cruel than the meat industry horrors that are so well known. I would vote against this ban.

They don't stop to realize by "thinning the herd" so to speak keeps the ecosystem in check. Isn't that the whole reason these far-left groups exist?

Let's not get into how oblivious they are to the amount of taxes hunters and fisherman pay to enjoy their fine states resources.
Taxes that go to the wildlife Dept, for enforcement, hiker rescue, to maintain the welfare of the animals, park service, .... These clowns deep down believe the world is a Disney move with all the "forest animals" sitting around smoking pot and talking to each other not the real world where deer get eaten alive by coyotes, animals starve to death, get sick and die.

Remember when people like that were kept at home by their families, until they were married off , then kept at home by their husbands OR sent to work in the mines

Give it a few years. When people start dying regularly because their car hit a deer or elk, when the squirrels and rabbits invade the local neighborhood and start eating all the lawns and gardens, when the local lake stinks to high heaven of dead fish or when whole species are wiped out by starvation and disease maybe, just maybe, they'll realize how stupid this is.

Werent these the same people that wanted a walkway only for animals (I think was wolves); because too many were getting killed crossing the highway?

No! Instead of getting tax revenue, the stupid Bas..... will spend your tax dollar hiring "professional" shooters to come in a deal with the problem. There is a ray of sunshine in all this. Maybe the Sierra Club, Audubon society, etc. will step up and demand their own Pittman-Robertson Act like sportsmen did 89 years ago, during The Great Depression in 1937. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Ya I ain't holding my breath either.
