Another 1911 Range Day!

I'm still working with the Kimber and decided to add my Operator to the mix. I had been having issues with the Kimber feeding a certain brand of ammo and today confirmed my suspicions. I ran 100 rounds of blue box 115gr Fiocchi and 100 rounds of orange box 115gr Fiocchi. I also had around 50 rounds of misc ammo that was in my carry case. If it is the blue box ammo, I want to get it used up asap. I'm at 500+ rounds today and the Kimber ran just great. The only real issue I had was an out of battery on my Operator while using the blue box Fiocchi, which confirms my suspicion about the ammo. I think I'll save the rest of that ammo for my other handguns.
It was a good day. For me, any day at the range is good in my opinion, especially when you love to shoot as I do. The only issue is that I get tired after about 100 rounds, so shooting 400+ is a stretch for me.
First pics are my standard targets at 30ft, the larger target is at 40ft, with a multiple mag dump at 30, then the QR Code shoot at 30ft.

Yes, nice work, even on the corners. Seems you've confirmed an issue with the blue box Fiocchi in that pistol. I've never had an issue with Fiocchi but it's been quite a while since I've used it. I'm gonna look to see if I have any stashed away. You've got me curious. Thanks for sharing your fun.

I've shot Fiocchi for years and never had any issues until just recently. A while back, I bought a half case of Fiocchi blue box 124gr and it had a lot of hard primers which caused light strike issues. The shop then got a deal on 115gr so I thought, " what are the chances"? So I bought a case and I've had failure to go into battery with this stuff. My next range run will be with my striker guns and I'll see if it continues. I should be able to run them thru my Echelon and my Caniks with no problem. I also shoot Magtech, Fiocchi orange box, Armscor, Sellier & Beloit and Federal, all have been fine.
