Another avoidable tragedy

Is this a training problem, or an attitude problem?

Somehow I doubt this LEO didn't get training on always assuming a firearm is loaded, never point the firearm at something you don't intend to shoot and never pull the trigger unless you intend to shoot what it is pointed at; as well never treat a firearm like a toy....

Yes, training can change attitudes, and clearly this guy needed to be recycled through training several times cause his attitude was F'ed to put it mildly....

But, military boot camp like training, like some police academies do, is the kind of training that changes attitudes. The break the recruit down and build him back up, indoctrinated in the culture and attitudes of the organization......

You can tell recruits to never play with their firearm like its a toy till you're blue in the face, there will still be idiots that will think, its unloaded, I'm going to play with it like its a toy... ...its the boot camp type training that breaks them of that foolishness....
