Another terrible waste of a life

I spent 2 years at Malmstrom in the early 90’s. Not sure how it’s broke down as squadrons were assigned and moved but we had a Security Forces Group (341st SFG) comprised snot 4 squadrons that handled nuke security with around 1,100 troops. then a separate Security Police Squadron that did base LE

So unfortunately with that many triops we had incidents where we
Lost about a troop every 4-6 weeks from suicide, vehicle accidents and such. But never had a gun play incident while I was there.

This really goes to show that if you want to own and use forearms
It’s a lifestyle change that unfortunately most people easily dismiss

Just another one of those damned striker-fired pistols going off on their own.

They're even more dangerous with red dots since the animated pistol can aim better. :cautious:

BTW more...

"playing with his gun"...????

at what point and time, does an alleged adult (since at 25 yrs of age, he was old enough to be in the military), stop playing with guns...??

i feel nuffin' for him.

as for the dead airman, did he see the fool playing with his gun, and say anything..??

did he try to get out of there..???

were they the only 2 people there..??

1 dead due to a flucking fool.

i hope he gets nailed to the cross for his stupidity

I’m always very disturbed when I hear “I thought it was unloaded”. Really? If you’re too dumb to check the chamber maybe you’ve got no business WITH a firearm. My told told me 65 years ago “the unloaded guns are the ones that kill people” and he was right. Playing” with ANY firearm is stupid, you are asking for trouble- and if you ask often enough you will find it. A gun-ANY gun-is deadly and needs to be treated as such-ALL the time. I’d hope you wouldn’t take out a couple stick of dynamite and play around with them and a book of matches. Same exact rules should apply- Don’t do it!
