My question would be why? After market triggers can certainly improve things though I hesitate to put them on my carry guns for lawyer reasons.
Couldn't agree more all of my pistols either have aftermarket trigger kits or have had pistol smiths do action work on them.My question would be why?
They are legal. They improve function of a firearm. There are many reasons legally to use them. From arthritis in the hand, to accuracy when pulling the trigger, etc, etc.
I’m not aware of any court case where a trigger was used against the defendent as a topic in court
That’s with the factory trigger with very slow deliberate trigger pulls. I got my Apex trigger yesterday hoping to get the time to install it today. Then another trip to the range.Goodness that's impressive, appears I need to enhance my triggers.
My only hesitation with modifications on a carry pistol trigger are safety related. I don't want to defeat the safety systems or make the trigger too light that it somehow goes bang unintentionally. I know most kits don't do that but it's definitely the reason I have not touched my carry pistol triggers. My question would be why?

Hogue on a BHP. Put grips on in ‘91 when I bought the gun new.Hogues are a pain in the *** to install but absolutely worth the trouble. I've got one on my Shield X and it went from 9/10 to 10/10 grip. It's also more comfortable to carry with the Hogue. Less irritating than textured plastic.
I've got one on order for my BG2.0 as well.
I’ll post 2 targets first one is from the first range trip with 30rds iand second is from the last one. Second target is 15rds. Both at 10yds.
No, it didn't for me. Thats one of the reasons I got rid of it.Does the comp on the HCP help with taming the snappiness of the HellCat?
Good point. I purchased my HC Pro for the singular purpose of carry. Fortunately I haven't been disappointed.Sidestep into philosophical discussion .
How do * You * percieve the nature , purpose , and expectations of this pistol ? Serious question .
In my outlook of things , l have broad categories . All around , general purpose , do pretty much everything that would be expected of typical full size pistol . And also a deliberate trade off of signifigantly smaller , but still reasonably suitable for Defense at a distance suitable for * most * defensive necessity .
I won't mention here my specific group and distance yardsticks , but will the ratio .
My expectations for second category , are ( same groupings ) at 3/5 the distance as for the " real guns " .
The posted targets , show well within my expectations for the second category , to Me .
EDC is what I bought it for and EDC only. I carry at work and cannot print or I will get fired. Then I might have to find a part time job where I would have to work and I can’t do that I’m to old. I can hit a coke can at a 100 yards with this pistol so a human size target at a little further should be an easy shot. For some people life isn’t as easy as lumping guns into categories. Plus I have 15rds in the gun and a full grip.Sidestep into philosophical discussion .

Apex Tactical has been making triggers for a while and I’ve never heard of anyone having problems with them. I’ve put them on several guns.My only hesitation with modifications on a carry pistol trigger are safety related. I like S&W I own several but the size of the HellCat won out over the Shield and Sig. I have a Ruger Max9 and it’s accurate and your cut but the HellCat is the same size with a 15rd capacity.I have been thoroughly pleased with my Shield X purchase. I briefly considered a Hellcat but the chunky grip didn't really jive with me and M&Ps have always been my first love.
The Shield X grip angle is perfect and a Hogue grip makes it comfortable and non-slip. 10/10.
I totally understand that. I keep hoping they release 17rd extended mags for the X. That's definitely a benefit in favor of the hellcat.I like S&W I own several but the size of the HellCat won out over the Shield and Sig. Yep. I've heard good things too. They're one of the few I would consider installing.Apex Tactical has been making triggers for a while and I’ve never heard of anyone having problems with them. I’ve put them on several guns.
I considered the CSX also I prefer hammer fired pistols but the size of the HellCat again won. My arthritis is getting worse especially in my hands. And having a full grip on a handgun and optic ready makes a huge difference in my decisions on buying handguns now.I totally understand that. I keep hoping they release 17rd extended mags for the X. That's definitely a benefit in favor of the hellcat.
And I wish the CSX-E had a light rail cause I'd have one of them if it did.
