I am not going with just the clothes on my back. I do have a pack with the basic necessities. Also, I am not a new camper by any means. Have spent countless days in the "wild" in all 4 seasons. I do have a well thought out backpack that will be refined as I go.
Water filtration, purification- check
Basic sleeping needs- check
Basic pot, pan kit- check
Means to start a fire- check
Firearm(s) protection- check
IFAK- check
I'm not taking this lightly nor going at it half cocked. I guess I should have been more clear.
I thank all that have made suggestions and voiced concerns. I am more than open to anything that leads to better results.
