anyone have one of these..??

What I meant in my asking was wondering if it was smooth as in no rifling. I have seen new S&W guns come from the factory with little or no rifling, my 6906 come with no rifling, it went back for a new barrel, now mind you this was back in the 80’s, but it still happens.

oh, ok...there is rifling in the barrel, just not deep like some guns would have...

see the following pics of todays range targets.

update:

ok so i went to the range, and took 150 rounds of 45 ACP

1) my reloads, 230 gr, @ 4.0-4.4 gr of charge...50 rds

2) S&B 230 gr, @ whatever charge they load at, 50 rds

3) Remington UMC 230 gr, whatever[/USER] charge they load at, 50 rds

3 different ammo's, 3 different targets.

and you should see no "keyholing" as i suspected, the club has no cardboard backing to steady the target, and the target "sways" from the air in the range and the shots, especially if i rapid fire

the range does has cardboard backings, and you will see the differences in the holes.

1st, my reloads

Looks good, one thing if I can ask, how dirty was the S&B ammo, my 10mm is very sooty, not as bad as Blazer ammo, but close

actually not bad at all.....i usually look forward to buying the S&B 1st, then Fiocchi, then Remington, then Winchester, mostly due to the large pistol primers.

Federal is very good as well, but it is hit or miss on LPP's, or SPP's....

but i still clean/polish SPP's 45's as "just in case, all i can get is SPP's"

overall, i feel the S&W MP 2.0, in 45 ACP, to be a very good gun.

right now, until early April i believe, there are rebates from S&W per gun, and depending on which gun, "up to" $100 back. (i'll be getting $100.) you get a pre-paid card, in 6 to 8 weeks.

i sent mine in, via certified mail, to ensure they get it.

My "main" indoor range has no corregated board backing....the paper just swings in the breeze under a clip. Never noticed key holing on any targets with .380, 38-special, 9mm or 10mm...all factory range FMJ ammo from a multitude of makes. I use both paper targets and paper targets with reactive targets stuck on the front...never noticed a single keyhole with my feeble memory.

I did not notice any keyholes with this batch of pics, except maybe a couple with the S&B. But not as many as the last set you posted.

All this talk about M&P makes me want to take my 5" Ported Barrel to the range again! I've been ignoring it since I got the Prodigy but this M&P is a great shooter too, 9mm but still great... I'm taking it tomorrow for a little spin, it's been too long since it's seen daylight and exercised... Heck, I'll even take it in my Serpa holster to make it more interesting

S&W 2.0 45cal is a very nice firearm and caliber.

I do have a question: As you are looking at 45's, S&W does make same pistol in 10mm?

Have you considered a 10mm?

if you are asking me, that's a solid NO.....i wish to not get into 10mm.

in fact, the rebate sale is still going on, and this weekend the S&W rep will be at the LGS giving away swag for a S&W purchase, i am now looking at the M&P 3.30 barrel......45....SKU 11725, could make for a nice carry

I’m surprised to be reading this today as I just came from the range after shooting my M&P Shield and my Warthog also in 45. The Shield is definitely easier to control and accurate but that little Warthog is fun.

Yes you got S&W $100 rebate.

I love my 3.8 barrels. easy to carry.

OK, just asking if you considered a 10mm?

nope, no 10mm in my little world, i just don't see the need for them, like 38 super, or 380

however, when i got my Dillon press, i went and bought all the dies (except for 380) so that when i go to sell it someday, hopefully it will be more "attractive" to a buyer.

as it is now, i only reload 9mm and 45 ACP...my 2 to go to calibers.

when i get enough spent 38 special shell casings, only then, will i reload 38's. as it is now, i have a whopping amount of new 38 specials

You don’t know what you missing with the 10mm, I have always wanted a Colt in .38super since I shot one years ago, hard to find a Colt

With a steel frame sure, but with a polymer frame 10mm is obnoxious... Granted my "experience" is with SIG P220 vs. SIG P320-XTEN but I don't think it's a SIG thing, I feel it's too much for a polymer frame... P220 feels no different shooting 10mm than P226 shooting 9mm. Just my personal opinion :D
