So I don't know if you guys are aware of the Armorer App, it's an app that's meant to catalogue your firearms inventory, including NFA items, accessories like scopes and red dots and ammo. The first main goal of the app is to be able to set up maintenance and cleaning schedules for all of your items or even knowing when to change batteries, let's see if you do that once a year or so you'll get a reminder to do that. Now I don't really care about scheduling maintenance on my firearms. But having such a large collection of firearms, I really needed a way to be able to catalog everything that I have and in one place being able to see what I actually own. Anyway, for those of you that are looking for the same thing here's an article I wrote about it. Let me know what you think?

I kinda like it, but you have to pay to use it, not worth the $49.00 a year to me, but thanks for sharing it.
 
As others mentioned, I do all mine on a spreadsheet, but I just use Excel. While I don’t get automatic reminders, I set a workbook up like this -

Page 1 - Ammo inventory, by caliber. Brand, bullet type, weight, total on hand, fps. Set up a formula so as I use or add ammo, I get a count by caliber and an overall total of all calibers combined.

Page 2 - List of each gun I’ve ever owned, when I bought it, when it moved on, number of rounds fired through it, and for guns I still have, a running tally of rounds fired and last date I fired it. (Which kind of tells me when a gun needs to be cleaned as I clean them the day I fire them). Formulas allow me keep track of how many rounds I’ve fired through guns I’ve traded and no longer own, guns I still own, and a total count of all rounds I’ve sent downrange through my own guns.

Page 3 and on - Each gun has its own page. Top line is the date I received the gun, whether bought at local LGS or transferred to me and where, make/model, serial # and price paid. If it was on online purchase, location purchased from and date purchased. Subsequent lines on each guns page have date fired, where, gun make/model, ammunition brand, ammunition type, bullet type (FMJ, HP, HST, etc.), bullet weight, FPS at muzzle, and remarks (where I list any issues I might have had, no issues, if I just mounted an optic, if I was shooting suppressed, spring changes, etc.). Again, a formula lets me quickly tally how many rounds I’ve fired on said gun to date.

This works for me and it’s free. I am not opposed to paying developers for their work, but I prefer to pay once and not be held hostage by a weekly, monthly or annual subscription where you lose all your data if you stop. As always, YMMV.

app I use is an excel spreadsheet pre formatted for all the needs of the firearm owners
