When I figured out I was left eye dominant the only cure I could find for it was to shoot left handed. I came up with my own plan. First teach yourself to shoot with both eyes open. Then tilt your head slightly so the sight(s) line up with the left eye. Then my instructor refined it further. Train yourself to bring the gun up to the left eye on draw. Easy Peasy. You couldn't have told me this in 1990 at the FBI Academy? I thought I knew EVERYTHING you'd ever said or taught back then but as a Left Eye Dominant right hander who just learned to shoot left handed... I could've saved lots of time, grief and money!!! (Seriously Mas, thanks for then... and now!)

Curious how many left handed / right eye dominant folks you talked with? I naturally shot long guns right handed as a kid and tried to shoot pistols with my dominate left hand, crossing over to use the right eye. It did not work for me. But since I live in a right handed world and have adapted to many tastes that are easier right handed, switching to shooting pistol right handed took almost no effort. It is so ingrained that when I dream of shooting pistols, it is right handed.Hello all, here is today's article posted on TheArmoryLife.com. I could explain it, but it's faster for you to just google it.So, my question is: How do you determine that you have cross dominant eyes? I suspect I might but I'm not positive.
F'in phone.Nah. Square up to the target like you’re supposed to. I can’t see a reason to tilt a gun, even off handed, unless you have lots kited mobility in your elbow or something.
People WAY overthink this.
