Back to my freshman year in HS

From not remembering the thread where I posted about this it's easier to start another.

This is the house that I spent many of hours working on building. The new owner changed the upper rail as we had it in rock (not solid). Thos was my 5am to 8am work before school started and 9pm to 2-3am. Sleep in between except for the after school hours when I worked from 4pm to 7pm, ate by 7:30 then did homework until 9 or slept if there was any time to do so.

I'd do it all again as that was an easier time in my life.

I really didn't want to take driver's ed in school ... until I learned they taught driver's ed and sex ed in the same cars!!!!

Let's see now. Freshman? I wasn't building homes, that's for sure. I was making money pulling weeds for the neighbors and watching some guy on TV say "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

pulling weeds sounds better than breaking ice in stock tanks/livestock tanks at well below freezing temps isn't much fun either. sometimes that was twice a day since cattle came to drink at that frequency.

1957 is a long way back forme. First year of Central HS in Phoenix. Believe has been closed for a while, jobs out of the area since college. No house building, just helping around the house. Taught Geology for Education majors in college…way too many good looking women as temptation!
