Background check

I prefer paper myself for different reasons I won’t post on this forum. I will do the electronic version but just seems like an inconvenience. I understand it speeds it up and helps with the ATF.
Well just remember the paper version has your your fingerprints and DNA. If that matters to you (mostly sarcasm but true)

Hi,

My LGS has entered the 21st Century. I hand over my DL and CWFL, I hit the keys on the IPAD and am done in a couple minutes. I have not spent more than 30 minutes buying a gun portal to portal in several years.

One would think, here in the 21st century, that for repeat customers with their CCW permits, the electronic forms (4473) would be filled out automatically and all you'd need is a signature on the receipt. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am.

Even though I have to fill out the paper AND the online form, that doesn't take long. but I have waited up to an hour for the NICS check to return. It seems that always takes the most time.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Remember its NOT just your name and address. You are ALSO answering questions about your legal history that might have changed since your last purchase. You fill out the form under penalty of perjury. Is it really that hard? I think theres more BS to ***** about

I'm old, sometimes my hands shake. I also have problems with being able to use touch screens because of excessive dryness in my hands from chemical burns
We have customers like you, if they ask, we type for them and just have them review and sign. Also we use a regular desk top computer with a regular keyboard, not a Ipad
