Bell MV-75: U.S. Army’s New Tiltrotor Aircraft

I still prefer the Sikorsky Sb-1 defiant / S-97 type over the tiltrotor.
Tilt rotor needs a lot of room to land. Not easy in tight spaces of combat. The double rotors of the s-97 can get into more traditional- tighter spaces.

For the $$$ this is going to cost, seems to me they could have worked on an Army Improved Osprey. While the Osprey had had its share of problems, I would bet that this bird will also!

UH-60's are still being bought & built for the US military in improved models so the use of the term "aging" by the author is a bit disingenuous.

And the UH-60 will be in service for decades because it will do certain jobs better than the new MV-75 which will be a bit overkill in certain tasks.

Yes, the UH-60 isn't going away any time soon. I just recently retired as a civilian federal employee aircraft mechanic working on UH-60s. I've helped re-build and re-hab UH-60s over 30 years old.
