A friend of mine just purchased a Canik MC9L and wanted to put an optic on it. I told him I had an optic he could barrow to see if he wanted to go that route. He brought the gun over and I mounted a Crimson Trace red dot on it and told him I was in no hurry to get it back. The only reason I don’t have it on any of my firearms is the battery compartment is on the bottom. Which requires the removal and rezero of the optic to replace the battery. I was just keeping it for a backup optic. I field stripped the Canik which was a little weird because the slide is removed about halfway of releasing the slide. But other than that it looks to be a very well made firearm. All the milling was down well. Trigger on it was way better than the factory trigger on my HellCat. The slide was about the same thickness of the HellCat. Comes with 17rd mags and it isn’t much longer in grip length than my HellCat Pro. Came with a hard case holster 3 mags couple of tools and a mag loader. And I think he paid $450 for it. We are headed to the range tomorrow so he can get his first shots in. And I’m going to try out the Apex Tactical Trigger I put in my HellCat. And a couple other firearms. Should be a fun day.
