Canik Prime Radian/Radian Ramjet & Afterburner Range comparisons

9/1 - Range Day

Shooting: (Not Mine) Glock 43X w/ Radian Ramjet and magwell and non-stock trigger; Glock 19 w/ Radian Ramjet and magwell and non-stock trigger; and Sig P365 AXG w/ Radian Ramjet and M Carbo trigger. (Mine) Canik Prime Radian; Canik Prime with 4.26" (non-comped) threaded barrel.

Purpose - A hands-on comparison of the different platforms with the Radian Ramjet and afterburner.

Thoughts/conclusions - (see targets with labels) - I did the worst with the Glock 43X. I thought I did pretty well with the P365AXG build. however, I think I shot the Canik Prime Radian better than those two. Another However, I have way more rounds through both Caniks than either the Glock 43X or P365 AXG (I have owned both in the past but have re-homed them). Performance may change if I had the same amount of rounds thru each gun.

Essentially the Radian does its thing on whatever firearm one decides to put it on. Between the 3, I think the Canik Radian is the better value - essentially for the cost of admission, one does not need to change anything on the firearm.

Additionally......while compensators are not a feature I put a lot of importance on - this whole experience with the Radian Ramjet and afterburner is making me consider getting one to try for my P365XL

I have a P365XL with the whole Afterburner setup, including the backstrap and mag base plates and it is a very good shooter, but honestly for the combined cost I could have bought the P365 AXG Legion, so the Prime Radian wins out big time there. Also, the MC9 and MC9 based series of guns that the Canik Prime is part of, are, IMO, better shooting straight out of the box than the P365. I love the P365 and have had several, but the MC9s have some sort of special sauce. I don’t feel that way about most of the other Caniks, but this one is a leader in its class, which your great shooting makes clear.

I'm accustomed to model number not even required to give the caliber, a spoiled Smith/Wesson collector! 😂

The various names of the guns are sometimes confusing to us curmudgeonly olde phartes!
