Carrying Concealed: Are Old Fanny Packs The New Trend?

Hi,

Have you guys ever noticed this pouch thing that's carried on your belt?

Just a thought. I think I'd rather have one of these than a fanny pack, especially after seeing my pictures from the 90s. Whatta dork! :ROFLMAO:

Thank you for your indulgence,

I think I've mentioned this before but my wife bought a Sneaky Pete for her LCP. It was well made but it was much bigger than it needed to be.

The few times that she carried her gun in the Sneaky Pete she concealed the Sneaky Pete but she just didn't feel comfortable with it.

I am not going to lie I kind of sort of like the idea of that top one except it looks like a nerd wallet and I could just see somebody stopping you and asking you where you got it or what kind of tech you're carrying in it.

And I'm going to say again that that just seems like an awful lot of weight to carry in one place on your belt for what you get out of it.

Hi,

That picture, the last one, is very misleading. They’re a lot bigger than that.

Agreed, the bigger guns would need a bigger pouch. That may draw unnecessary attention. I'm assuming from the website that they have smaller sizes for compacts. Either way, probably not an ideal solution in many situations.

Thanks for sharing. They do seem to be a bit bulky. I guess my IWB would be bulkier if it also carried my cash, phone, knife, etc.

No, I mean the Shield EZ 380 my dad bought one of these for. It’s a micro gun. The holster was huge. Bigger than that picture depicts it as definitely.

I think i might have tapped this in the other thread...

I have only worn cargo pants/shorts and t-shirts and eff fannypacks. I have been thinking of getting a flea-market messenger bag and try to modify it, just to give me another option to carry after i get a gun...

I have one of the black leather ones from when they were popular in the 80's and a newer Eberlestock which is very nicely made. Only used now for hiking as in the cities people are known for clubbing you from the behind and departing with your bag. Less of that element found on the trails.
