Decades ago, I had a run in with the Rev. Dr. Cecil Murray, head person at the L.A. First AME Church. Same church that President Clinton visited when he was in L.A. As a Sergeant, I had to make sure my officers were to steer clear of his church, especially during services, as we made the congregation unhappy. After the riots, Southwest Area had a training day which involved speakers from the local community. While others talked of rebuilding the community, Cecil, however, told us that we were all involved in abusing the black community and his congregation was trying to incite all of us. One Black officer spoke up and said that was BS. Cecil responded by calling the Black officer a “bourgeoisie nig..r”. As everyone got up and walked out, Cecil continued his rant. Cecil passed on years ago, thankfully, but I sure wouldn’t want to attend church there…even today.

Guess it depends on the church, its location, and society at the time.

Oh you're wrong on that second part the lefty radicals have turned a lot of black churches and regular presbyterian churches into pure commie zones and alphabet people propaganda machines. I often wonder why the government doesn't pull their tax exempt status

Agreed, if some masked asshole busted my car window with my kids in the car they wouldn't be walking away either. A masked thug with a badge doesn't make a law enforcement officer, just a punk *** criminal holding a badge.
