Cmmg banshee mkg 45acp pistol

I got an addition 2 Metalform SMG mags when I recently bought the Springfield Armory 5" and 8" pistols that came with one each (haven't yet fired them and hope there are no issues with them).

It runs just with the one oem glock 4th gen 45acp magazine that came with it one magazine with a $1,700 firearm go figure disgraceful!

Yup, kind of like Kimber, $1000+ 1911 and only 1 mag (at least with the ones that I purchased). SA did the same with their 2 9mm braced pistols I just bought, they were a little more than $1K each, and only 1 mag came per gun. I guess more and more manufactures are doing this and it is annoying.

Sounds like your bolt may not be accelerating enough to the rear after firing. Not fully pushing the bolt to the rear. I would eliminate ammo as the culprit first, then determine if your action needs to be tuned with weights for the ammo you are using. I would first try some hotter ammo to see if that clears up the problem. That's all I got.

Not sure if it's short stroking or bcg is to fast as not enough info.

To the OP, is it ejecting, but not picking up the next round or and type of double feed or stovepiping? As mentioned try some +p and/or 185's (+p or standard). My kriss vectors can be a PITA with some mags regardless of weights and/or +p ammo. The 2 ar type lowers that use glock style mags (straight blowbacks) run fine with any mag except promags. Both were built by me.

Try this, chamber 1 round and fire to see if it locks open. If not it's most likely short stroking and not over gassed (low buffer weight in this case). Check for ejection pattern. 1-2:30 is over gassed (to low on buffer weight) and 4-5:30 is undergassed (either low powered ammo or buffer to heavy).

Since cmmg tunes the carrier weight to each cartridge you could have the wrong 1 (cmmg's fault). Buffer weight could be wrong on their side also. Make sure (dry charge) that the carrier will lock back/open as it needs to get about 1/8-1/4" behind the bolt hold open catch or the catch won't engage fast enough. If that's a cause then the buffer is to long and/or the spring. With their rdb system the buffer should be about 3.5-5ozs in the 45acp. I haven't been able to confirm the weight. The 5.7 rdb i have uses a low weight carrier and a 2oz buffer (could be a little heavier but not much)

Thanks for the info think its just the magazines though because it ran with the oem 13rd gen 4 stock glock magazine that came with the firearm just not the smg 26 rd aftermarket magazines

A buddy I shoot with uses Kriss Vector 45 acp 30 round mags in his Stribog 45 acp PCC and they worked for him as he wanted the extra mag capacity. Maybe you can buy just one first to see if it will work in the CMMG 45 if other options tried fail. Just a thought.

Sorry, my mistake, it wasn't KCI mags that failed for the PTRs but the included 3 ETS plastic mags that failed. I've not ever used KCI mags, so they may function fine.

Yeah they might work because they are a oem glock mag with a extended base pad but $60 bucket per mag is 🤪 crazy

To see if either would work as a cheaper alternative to the Kriss Vector. Looks like the KCIs got a bit better review that the Global Ordnance on The Mag Shack website (although I didn't read them, just going off the amount of star ratings).
 
as for the kriss extended mags in 9, 10 & 45 in use for the vectors, none worked reliable for me..........10mm mags were the worst, but did better in an off brand lower i built. i will say it's the mag problem for sure on mine! the 45 mags took some tuning to work in the glocks and the vector. i had better luck with the kci drum mag. using factory glock mag and kriss extension it would bind where the 2 come together when the follower was at the junction. if you can find a drum style mag get it instead on the stick kind.............works best from what i've experienced

Exactly 💯 runs flawlessly with the 1 oem 13rd glock mag it came with but dam your out of luck if you can't find glock mags and glock just discontinued all there models except carry models so hope glock mags don't dry up or pull a premium 😉
