Love my Single Six Convertible

I'm a fan of rimfire revolvers. Probably the Ruger Bearcat is my favorite and seemingly the most accurate. I like the Ruger Single Six and the Wrangler, both are good shooters but there is a valid reason why the Single Six is three fold more costly. The Uberti Stallion is a dandy as is my late 1960's Colt Frontier Scout.

when i as at the range sometime last year, i saw a sweet Ruger Vaquero SAO(used) up for sale on consignment.

45 Colt LC, as a result, i bought the Lee dies, and Dillon shell plate, just haven't reloaded any yet.

all i did was buy (from Ruger) thier wooden stocks..as i thought the plastic ones were a POS.

Almost got into CAS back-in-the day but moving to different duty stations quashed that. Was more interested in the Wild Bunch Action Shooting variation since I could use some stuff I already had. But I picked up an 1897 Trench gun to fit into that.

Ruger Single Six was my second handgun, circa 1960. Blackhawk a few years later. Wore out a pair of original Vaqueros in Cowboy Action matches, practice, and dry fire. For no good reason, recently brought home a Wrangler 3.75" barrel with standard grip frame. My Bearcat went to my grandson.

Ruger Wrangler with the bird head grip, I ordered these replacement grips before I had the gun. I'll prob pick up another one with the regular grip. These are the grips for it, I'll pickup.

I bought a Ruger Super Single-Six in 1975 . It had the .22 mag cyl. as well as the .22LR cyl. Because of hard times , I had to sell it but I now have an older model that you don't keep 6 rounds in. It only has the .22LR cyl. and doesn't have adjustable rear sight.

Love my cowboy guns myself. Ruger and Uberti both. My latest one was the old west carry from Taylor's ( Uberti ) smaller framed 38spl 3in barrel birdshead grip.

A couple of years ago I traded for a New Model Vaquero in 45 Colt with a 7.5 inch barrel. It mostly sits in my gun safe but once in a while I get it out and work the action. I've had lots of single action only revolvers over the years but this one is my favorite...:)
