Many years ago when I was a little kid my older brother and his friends were at our house while the parents were at a officers formal white tux dinner while at Fort Benning. I stayed in my room the whole time as I knew this was going to end badly later. My Mama did not raise me as a fool.
Later my older brother friends left before my parents returned home.
They both quickly realized, what my older brother did while they were away as kids always leave a mess behind.
My father checked his liquor bottles and quickly found that many of his alcohol bottles were about the same level but were now mostly water.
While I did not see what my father did to my older brother as I was still in my room, I sure heard my older brother screaming in pain as my father give him a physical lesson of punishment.
The next day, nothing was said about that innocent but my older brother walked like his was a bit sore.
