LOL! LOL! No doubt Duane said this at one time or another, but to attribute the quote to him is a little shaky. I can remember my grandpa and others using this saying way back in the 1950's, long before ol' Duane was even a twinkle in his daddy's eye.

But I'm pretty sure even grandpa wasn't the first to use it. It's an old southern saying that demonstrates the 'uselessness' of the word "If" when it's preceding the subject. And if I remember grandpa's version correctly, it went more like this ..... "If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his azz every time he jumped".

But these little golden tidbits of language are priceless, no matter where, or who they come from. So simple yet so meaningful.
