Now if you drive a Ford Crown Victoria or Ford Pinto those gas tanks were famous for exploding and killing the drivers.
Then I assume, everybody who drives ICE vehicle is riding around with a bomb ready to explode.
Ahh, urban legend....way more Corollas burst into flames than Pintos, and somehow in media-driven America Pintos became the story. Go figure.

I was stopped in traffic in my Pinto with a full tank of gas and got rear-ended by a Buick (?!) going 55mph. My car didn't leak a drop of gas. I bought another Pinto and got rear-ended again but not as hard. No leak.

As far as Crown Victorias, if you can find another model of car that was parked on the shoulder of freeway as OFTEN as a Crown Vic was back then, then we can compare apples to apples, instead of oranges.
