As a Flight Chief, reviewing forms, I found many write-ups like that. One of my favorites was, "IFF inop in the OFF position."

Both could have tragic consequences in the wrong circumstances. Pre-flight checklists are essential to safe operation of aircraft.

True, but the 'college kids" think (?) they know it all and can remember. It was at Osan Korea, so don't know if I would take flight in that airspace without a double-check of THAT system.
