I can say for sure, we did not have that many water tight doors on a Arlie Burke class ship❗

Maybe someone who served/military contractor who been on a battleship/aircraft carrier can enlighten us ❓
that looks ALOT like a carrier.
i can remember the uneasy feeling standing aft and watching the holes move up and down and side to side in bad weather
at least on the tin cans we just walked on the bulkheads

Many, many vessels have a lot of water tight doors/hatches ... but they're not all in a row like that for sure! Just out of curiosity, how long is a 'Arlie Burke' class. That's a DDS, right?

I was military contractor on the USS mobile Bay when they were in Yokosuka. My project is as far as I know still classified and a NDA is still valid.

CG-53 General Specifications

Class: Ticonderoga class cruiser

Named for: Battle of Mobile Bay

Complement: 33 Officers and 357 Enlisted

Displacement: 9600 tons

Length: 567 feet

Beam: 55 feet

Flank Speed: 32 Knots

I worked on that ship for a few months to setup it's new battle ready system.

SAN DIEGO (Aug.10, 2023) – The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53) sits pier side during a decommissioning ceremony. The Mobile Bay was decommissioned after more than 36 years of distinguished service.

Before that project, I always through the Aircraft Carrier along with the Admiral controlled the fleet but the USS Mobile Bay was the center of all communications along with their 64 missiles. I met many squids on board who were all fantastic personal.
I will always remember that ship and its crew and all crew acted outstanding when docked and at sea.
