Back when I was a watch commander on midnights I held staff meetings at Duncan Donuts. The chief got complaints about all the cruisers at the donut shop but it was the only thing open during mids. We started parking cruisers in the alley out back. A closely held secret: Duncan Donuts had some of the best soup anywhere.

Unfortunately, their donuts suck. The quality sucks. Krispy Kreme is a thousand times better. Dunkin no longer makes their "donuts fresh daily".

Dunkin gave us all the coffee we could drink, while we did reports and breaks. They liked us there, especially during the midnight shift because the tweakers wouldn't rob the store if we were there. Tucson had several stores in the seedy areas , and we were cheap security,
