Dan Wesson range day!

I've been working with my Dan Wesson Vigil ever since I got it a few months ago. It was pretty worn out and not so reliable but researching the issues and replacing every spring in the gun has apparently fixed any issues. I used EGW and Wilson Combat springs and a new Wilson Combat firing pin in the swap. All were great quality and I am now on around 500 rounds without any type of issue. Today I ran 200 rounds of Magtech 115gr fmj and 10 rounds of Federal HST JHP in 124gr. Unmarked posted targets were at 25-30 feet with a few mags at 45 and 60 feet.
I'm very happy that I can include this 1911 in my carry rotation.

I'm glad you got it sorted. Big raggedy holes and hits touching. What's not to like? Even at the longer distances, that spread would still be all in the upper chest. Nice work.

Good looking target and Purdy Dan Wesson. If I buy another 1911 it will be a Dan Wesson in 10mm. Nothing wrong with the 9mm but there’s just something about a 1911 chambered in 10mm.
