It will be difficult for those who cannot define what a woman is.Yea this will be interesting. It has been diagnosed as a mental illness for decades, then got sorta changed due to the new trendy virtueY push for "inclusion" or 'dont judge anyone' etc... The hard part for the legal folks will be drawing lines and definitions; for instance, Bulimia and Anorexia are types of body dysmorphic disorder also, so I can see that this could be hard to do.
That shouldn't be a problem for any of them!I guess then the question is should trans folks be declared "mentally ill"? Many folks will argue this point, but I wonder how they feel about folks with schizophrenia purchasing a firearm?
Yea, this "what is a woman" crap is one of the dumbest things to propagate in culture in our lifetimes... So I guess they will have to codify what a man and woman actually are before they can codify that Trans folks are mentally ill. Do we believe we can ever get to that?It will be difficult for those who cannot define what a woman is.
Exactly! I've been warning about this very thing for a while now. The "who decides?" concept is key.NO!
As C.D. Warner tells us "Politics makes strange bedfellows" (no pun intended, well maybe just a little). This is nothing but a knee-jerk reaction and an expansion of "red flag laws". What's next, solders with PTSD? Maybe those we think should have PTSD? How about people with mild depression, eating disorder, Alcoholism, tobacco users, eyes too far apart, ears shaped wrong...? Phrenology anyone?
If the 2A community doesn't fight this, we are no better than Brady Campain and Everytown. We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately. — Benjamin Franklin
who decides indeed... certain folks call us crazy for liking guns... if they had the power then this shoe would be on the other foot...Exactly! I've been warning about this very thing for a while now. The "who decides?" concept is key.
Unfortunately, it's in the eyes of the beholder!Hi,
I'm just wondering, how severe does a mental condition or illness have to be before it affects our 2A rights? I think that is the question. It seems there were other indicators besides "trans" in the recent school shootings.
Thank you for your indulgence,

It shouldn’t though. If it’s classified as a mental illness then they must answer yes to that question which i assume brings greater scrutiny to the background check. As others have pointed out though, what if the outcome of this restricts more people by association.Well, one thing is for sure, this is going to expose the democrats.
Well, I highly doubt they are going to go against their "protected class". They are injecting them into girls/womens sports. If they agree to this, they will alienate their base. If they go against this, they have just shown that they are not serious about stopping the "gun violence", that they are trying to ban all firearms. Either way they go, it will be political suicide for them.It shouldn’t though.
