EDC Blade: Kershaw Livewire... their very first OTF

BTW The RemOil in the spray can (but put into a needle applicator bottle) works best on OTFs. You can find the empty needle applicator bottles on Amazon for dirt cheap.
Best thing i have found for automatics and folders. I use it on firearms also in cold weather especially. They say its used by the Seal Teams, true, no idea. BUt i have dealt with A.G for years and trust his judgements and word on things.

is the rem oil in the squeeze bottle not the same as the spray can?
It's the same. I use the squeeze bottle for knives, not a needle oiler. Except for the Microtech. When it gets gunked up I put the little plastic tube on the aerosol can and spray it inside. A few good blasts. Then I set it upside down over night so the excess drips out. Then it runs like new again. To me this is preferable to taking it apart because that voids MT's warranty. I've only had to do that once by the way. Routine maintenance I do like Sid and blast canned air in there.

I'm a flea-market folding knife dude. Jerzey has auto-knives banned so i never got to play with one. A auto-knife would be a "fun toy" to clip to my belt...
Illinois finally made them legal in 2017 as long as you had a FOID card. ( firearms owners I D card ) I bought a Kershaw launch 6 soon after . ww.sportsmans.com/camping-gear-supplies/knives-tools/knives/kershaw-launch-6-375-inch-automatic-knife/p/1435297

I like the knife but it needs a safety. I then bought the Cobra-tec OTF and carry it every day. https://cobratecknives.com/collections/lightweight/products/lightweight-carbon-fiber

Was just going to say I’m almost positive I saw at English town auction or rt 18 market 😂. Nothin like Englishtown on a hot summer day and the smells that come with it 😂
I used to live in and around the Amboys my last Jerzey apartment was in the Parlin section of Slayerville... i/we lived our lives at the flea-markets and auctions. And Englishtown food was a 15min. trip to get...

No. I’ve had it a couple years and never even had to blow it out. Spring doesn’t “sing”. Only noise is a hard, solid click. Much more authoritative than even the Microtech.

I would definitely avoid greasing the springs unless you plan to take the knife apart a lot to clean the dirt that sticks to the grease out.
I must be thinking of some other brand then.

And no, I've never had a problem with getting dirt in greased springs. Never been an issue for me, and it does a very nice job of protecting the spring and keeping it silent.

General consensus on ALL springs is dry lube. Unless you clean it often. That’s why no manufacturer recommends lube in the striker channel. Lube attracts dirt and debris.

Yep I know the area. Ex girlfriend had a friend that I think lived in the area. Think we took the exit for the 120 rest area and went through commuter lot or something.

I was in freehold for 20 years so about 10 minutes from English town
