Favorite micro or small frame revolver

By far my favorite small revolver is a S&W 642 that S&W gave me as replacement for my Model 38 Bodyguard, which they said they didn't have the requisite parts to repair at that moment. The Model 38 was my backup/ informal off-duty gun for about 24 years and had a great deal of sentimental value. That said, the 642 is superior in that it doesn't gobble up trash through the open hammer slot.

I spent about 8 years keeping the Bodyguard in shape as well as a lady supervisor's who had its twin. Her gun rode in her purse and the first time I had the side-plate off I was appalled at the volume of trash inside it.
Mrs Greener and I gave our son a 642 Airweight as a police academy graduation gift. He likes to carry it in a cargo pocket.

⚠ Warning: Caliber/rimfire war starting:
Five .22WMR ain't nutin to sneeze at.
OH, BTW, I expect a bunch of check mark/helpful as a pat on the back. Just figured out how to make the picture of the 638 smaller and not take up the whole damn page. NOT because I'm clever mind you just pure dumb luck. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I Understand completely

Hmmm I really wanted to like the Charter Arms Bulldog in 44spl but those slim grips magnified the recoil. Once I added wider grips, it was a powder puff. Ive got a SW 442 that looks like it was dragged on the way to the gunshop, so I picked it up cheap. Its surface ugly only and carries nice in an ankle holster.

Its hard to pick a favorite between the Ruger SP101 and the Colt Lawman; both have a place in my heart and carry inventory. The Ruger is heavy compared to the 442 but makes hot loads pleasant. The Colt is welllll, a Colt and that ends most arguments

When tiny means TINY I do like the NAA Mini Guns

I carry these 2 on occasion, 1 at a time though :giggle:. Both 357 but I load them with 38+P.

Reference the Kimber. I put 70 rounds of .357 through mine when it was brand new, thinking I should/could. And that was the last time I fired .357 through it 😂. Had to skip next couple of weeks of regular weekly range trips due to ridiculous bruise at my thumb base…and even then, it took a few more weeks before I could shoot without still feeling it a bit in the same spot, no matter what handgun I shot. I would use .357 in it in a heartbeat for SD, but not at the range (except for maybe just a dozen every year or so for function/familiarity - and that’s a big maybe 😃 )!
