First Look: Echelon COA Pistols

Does this come in a threaded barrel? Because every time i buy something from you, in two weeks you have a threaded barrel and of course you want another 175 for that.
Believe me, I think that call up-selling.
In Virginia our state legislators just passed a law that classes a handgun with a threaded barrel as an assault weapon which now means you couldn’t carry it on a public street.
when you take these POS to court for messing with your 2A, they should have to pay your lawyer fees plus.

Well written and informative article on a platform (Echelon) I'm a fan of. A couple of thoughts on the COA variant:

1. Having a version of the Echelon without the VIS defeats one of the great features of the model doesn't it?
2. Another original feature of the Echelon was its modularity - which means I don't have to buy a whole new pistol. I can interchange grips and other parts to customize, right?
3. Blacked out sights front and rear are a hard no from me. If this is going to be a regular carry option, it needs Tritium night sights front and rear as table stakes, to help co-witness, and to carry the load if the optic dies. Blacked out sights at night? For me, that sounds like no sights at all.

That's just my opinion of course, so take it for what it's worth!

Have a great evening, my friends.

Y'all need new state legislators.

Hi,

It's an interesting configuration. I enjoy my Echelon and think the low profile VIS setup is the bees knees, very versatile, cowitnessing without supressor height sights. This marriage with Aimpoint seems like a niche thing for a small-ish market. Maybe research shows SA will sell a million of them. I don't know.

Are enclosed emitters all that and a bag of chips? More durable? Bullet proof? ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I think the COA is a great option for folks that like this style of optic and offers yet another option to Echelon owners.
I'm a HUGE fan of the Echelon and have owned a quite a few since they first came out. I'm hoping Springfield eventually offers the COG by itself like Sig does. I have a few barrels, slides and frame options that I'd to be able to utilize without buying a whole other complete firearm.

I have the Echelon 4.0c and just ordered the 4.5f comp since we also will not be able to purchase magazines over 10 rounds soon in Virginia and I wanted the larger version but wanted to wait for the price to go down a bit. I love the ability to change the grip as I have a very small hand. As a very law abiding American, it’s frustrating to have laws affect us but won’t affect the bad guys who don’t care about laws. We definitely need to vote out those changing the direction in our state.

Living in Virginia now is like being nibbled to death by ducks! The progressive’s went wild during the past General Assembly and the scary thing is that what we’ve seen so far is just the tip of the iceberg.
