I’m a Ford fan, but I switched to Toyota years ago based on quality issues in most American vehicles.
While recalls are common due to industry standard subcontracting out parts, Fords 2025 quality is dismal.
Ford broke a recall record for # of recalls. 😳🤯

hmmm my fords didnt have a recall in 2025
agree quality is far below expected the ideal across the board
that one gm one cost gm billions in engine replacement, that one hurt them bad..
they need a cost vice recalls
many recalls are now days a software fix vice any actual item change
to be triple the recalls of the next highest auto maker, Chrysler on recalls is a massive red flag.
to be 7x higher than the auto maker industry of 20-25 is ABSURD!!

Combine this with the massive electric vehicle debacle and you get an idea of how bad a shape Furd is actually in. They did a joint venture with a South Korean battery company to build the largest battery plant in the world about 5 miles north of me. HUGE freaking plant. Partner pulled out last year. Massive plant sits there empty today having produced exactly nothing. This is a multimillion sq ft plant! I’d hate to even guess how many hundreds of million (or Billions) dollars went into this white elephant.

It’s a Mayan conspiracy……

I must admit I was not wholly pleased and on-board many years ago when the Wonderful One brought our first Honda home for me to test drive: I always tried to support American products, and had always bought American vehicles. We purchased the car, and have remained Honda clients since.

Heck, today Honda IS American made-at least a lot of them are. They’re even exporting them TO Japan😳

well to be fair, even Toyota's have had recalls, and engine replacements due to improper cleaning of the engine block after it was made.

my wife and i, and frankly some of our grown kids have become Toyota fans for many years now.

i don't know the bottom reason why quality sinks low at many companies, other that to think, there is a lack in supervision at every level of the manufacturing.

recalls are a fact of modern automobile manufacturing, but to be so much higher than industry average is crazy. I mean they were not like just a little bit higher than the industry, they blew the industry away.
Ford had as many recalls as the next closest FIVE competitors combined !!!!
